CBN short for Cannabinol and it is a non-intoxicating minor cannabinoid that is naturally found in the hemp plant. The cannabinoids in hemp slowly breaks down and transforms into CBN over time. We use this unique compound in Nox CBN because users report that it has therapeutic benefits for sleep and tranquility.
CBN interacts with our Endocannabinoid System (ES), which is believed to help regulate many of the body’s physiological functions such as cognition, pain perception, mood, appetite, and sleep. There are two main cannabinoid receptors: CB1 and CB2. CBN primarily binds to the CB2 receptor, which helps to induce a sleepy state.
CBN is a byproduct of the degradation of THC and CBD producing no intoxicating effects at suggested dosages. This is often one of the main concerns for people who don’t consume THC, but want to explore ways they can benefit from the natural properties of the hemp plant without getting “high.”
CBN can be compared to CBD as similar but more potent and with it's own unique sleep-inducing effects. CBN has similar activity to CBD on the body's endocannabinoid system but requires much lower doses.
Chemically, all 3 compounds (THC, CBD, and CBN) share the same parent structure and differ only by the locations of a couple atoms.
You should consult your physician before using any natural sleep aid or hemp supplement, as there is a chance that it could cause adverse reactions for some people. CBN may cause drowsiness. Results may vary. Consult your physician before and during use. Stop using the product if you experience any adverse reactions.
CBN is normally well-tolerated, but also may interact with some medications making them less effective.
We are required by law to document all adverse reactions to our product. If our product has caused unintended effects for you, please contact us so that we can investigate, report your incident, and update our suggested use instructions for other customers to avoid future occurences.
Yes. The 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act and made it federally legal to grow, sell, and process hemp- so long as it doesn’t exceed 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis. As with all other supplement and hemp-related products, NOX CBN products and statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
NOX CBN is manufactured in Kentucky, a state where it is illegal to process non-hemp. All of our products are 100% hemp-derived.
This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. As such, we do not and cannot make any such claims.
Nox Sleep Aid products are analyzed and tested for THC contents in our Archway Biopharma laboratory as well as a third party lab so that it does not exceed the legal limit of THC. NoxCBN sleep aid contents can be verified by using the QR code + Lot Number on your product to locate the COA (Certificate of Authenticity), or you can find the COA on the Lab Reports page here.
While the United State’s legal limit of THC in hemp is no more than 0.3%, if you are subject to drug testing we strongly suggest consulting your health care provider before consuming any hemp products and inform your workplace of the possibility for a false positive for THC. According to the Dutch opium law, a maximum of 0.05% THC in CBD products is allowed. This will not be exceeded.
Hemp-derived CBN products are generally well tolerated and considered safe for adults. As with any hemp supplement, consult your physician before using if you are pregnant, nursing, have/suspect a medical condition, or are taking any medication.
Nox CBN products are intended for adults. Keep out of the reach of children.

Everyone is different and the amount of NOX required will vary by person depending on their size, gender, and biochemistry. You should feel drowsy within about 30 minutes, but it can take up to 2hrs to get the full effect. Adjust the dose up to 1 mL (16 drops) or down to 0.25 mL (4 drops) the following night to achieve the required effect. It is not recommended to exceed 2 mL (32 drops) per night.
